When you need headshot photography it’s important to find the right headshot photographer for you. Ideally a headshot or portrait photographer with plenty of experience of shooting professional headshots for company websites, Linked In and other social media platforms and someone that you can get along with. It’s the social interaction between the photographer and the subject that makes the real difference between an average photo and a great professional headshot.
I met Bruce at an event in Lymm, near Warrington a couple of months before he booked on our first headshots day of 2018. He’d needed new professional headshots for a while but had kept putting it off. I told him about our headshot photography days in Lymm, near Warrington in north Cheshire. He liked the idea of having help preparing for the session, being advised on what to wear and what to avoid, having business makeup (yes fellas, we need a bit of help too; shiny skin, especially where hair has receded, too many late nights) and being coached on facial expressions and body language throughout the session.
One thing I need to clarify about the kind of coaching is that we don’t tell you how to stand or sit, or how to smile. We show you and coax you into looking relaxed in front of the camera.
He also liked the idea of having a selection of photos to choose from but also having our advice about what worked best for a website or for Linked In or other applications. After the session Bruce gave us a wonderful testimonial and has recommended us to several of his friends and clients.
This is what Bruce had to say:
I’d always understood the importance of a ‘good’ headshot for linked in – but never really understood the importance of getting it done – or just how good the results could be.
Andrew’s method of inviting many people to a day of shooting had some massive benefits:
– It was cost effective
– Good fun – other people were there – all felt ‘in the same boat’
– Make up artist made a real difference to the shots
– Andrew retouched the photos – and they have been well received – I felt good about them but – most importantly other people were delighted.
Since my session I’ve suggested the service to others – all have been really pleased with the results. I felt that Andrew captured the “essence of Bruce “
It’s a great initiative and helps us all push ‘the personal brand’.
Many thanks for Andrew’s great service!
